Jonathan Diep (he/him/his) is a first-year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology M.A. program at California State University, Dominguez Hills, on the LPCC pathway. He graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach in 2023. He currently provides Developmental Relationship-Based Intervention (DRBI) therapy at Positive Development, where he works with children and older adults with autism spectrum disorder.
Jonathan’s research interests include the mental health of Asian American adults, mental health equity, depression and anxiety disorders, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. As a first-generation Asian American graduate student, Jonathan is inspired to spread mental health awareness within his Asian American community, where mental health has been negatively stigmatized when receiving assistance for numerous decades. After completing his M.A., Jonathan plans to seek and complete licensure as an LPCC, where he will pursue multiple positions and internships working in hospital or clinical settings within the BIPOC community. Aside from his academic and research interests, Jonathan enjoys exploring new places outdoors, hiking in nature, watching movies with his loved ones, and going to the beach.
