The PERCH Team is currently involved in several research studies focused on stress and resilience during pregnancy and early childhood. Our team uses longitudinal mixed-methods studies and a combination of biological, behavioral, and ambulatory research methods to: (1) understand the impact of early stress exposure on children’s emotional and behavioral development and (2) identify modifiable risk and protective factors during sensitive periods of development (e.g., pregnancy, early childhood) that can be targeted to promote early stress resilience and psychological wellbeing.
